Talk by Fareed Zakaria on Monday, 21st December, 2009

Dear Alumnus,

   

As a part of our 150th year  celebrations, we are delighted to inform you  that Fareed Zakaria (ISC ’82) and  currently the Editor of Newsweek International, has agreed to give a talk on ‘Globalisation: the Next Phase’ to alumni  and parents on Monday 21st December, 2009, at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai, at 7.00 p.m    

      

Fareed,  as you all may be aware, besides being the Editor of Newsweek International, writes a regular column for Washington Post and hosts an international affairs program, FareedZakaria GPS.   He is the author of several books including The Future of Freedom, which was a New York Times bestseller and has been translated into 20 languages.  His new book, The Post American World, was published in May 2008 and became an instant bestseller.

   

Fareed has won several awards for his columns and in 1999 he was named “one of the 21 most important people of the 21st century” by Esquire magazine.  Fareed received a B.A. from Yale and a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard.  He lives in New York City with his wife, son and two daughters.

       

Fareed is a much sought-after speaker and we are sure you will enjoy hear him speak.

We are using this evening as an occasion to raise funds for our Retired Teachers’ and Staff Medical Benefit Fund and will be collecting Rs. 2,500/- per donor pass.
